Summary
The Senior Radiation Safety Officer will support the Director of Health Physics in ensuring safe operations at our San Diego research and development site. The candidate will be responsible for implementation of policies and procedures in compliance of all federal state and local environmental health and safety (EHS) and radiological protection regulations. The candidate will also provide technical health physics and EHS support to various departments within RayzeBio.
Job Responsibilities
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Perform radiological and EHS assessments in use areas.
Development administration and implementation of radiation safety and EHS policies programs and safety at the site.
Perform health physics and EHS evaluations audits and initiatives.
Provide prepare and coordinate didactic and hands-on training as required.
Processing of various radiological chemical and biological waste streams.
Assist with incident investigations and identifying root cause and corrective actions.
