Are you experienced in Fire Safety and looking for a new role in some of Scotlands most historic buildings If the answer is yes this exciting opportunity could be for you.
We are currently seeking applications for a Fire Safety Manager with the National Records of Scotland (NRS). The Fire Safety Manager will support the Head of Facilities and Workplace Improvements and the Head of Estates Portfolio on all aspects of fire safety to ensure we meet our statutory and regulatory obligations for fire safety set out in the Fire (Scotland) Act 2005 and the associated Fire Safety (Scotland) Regulations 2006. As well as protecting life safety in the event of a fire we have specific goals in relation to protecting our collections and buildings (property and asset risk) some of which have specialist archive accommodation and are A-listed.
You will be responsible for leading on and overseeing implementation of fire safety arrangements for all properties within the NRS estate and other properties as determined by the Head of Facilities and Workplace Improvements.

Qualifications
A degree in a relevant fire safety related subject or equivalent i.e. approved fire safety Modules (Ref: Fire Service College Moreton in Marsh England).

Working Pattern
