RN-Bone Marrow Transplant Permanent Role
- Location: Dallas TX 75246
- Shift: 12 HR Night 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
- Guaranteed: 36 Hours
- Compensation: Based on experience.
Responsibilities: - Deliver direct patient care based on transplant protocols nursing process and evidence-based practice.
- Administer chemotherapy blood products and supportive therapies per physician orders and unit policy.
- Monitor and manage symptoms side effects and complications associated with cancer treatment and transplant.
- Educate patients and their families about the transplant process medications infection prevention and post-discharge care.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop individualized care plans.
- Perform accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system.
- Adhere to infection control quality and safety standards specific to oncology/BMT care.
- Respond to emergencies and recognize signs of sepsis graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) and other transplant-related complications.
Qualifications: - Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN).
- Licensure: Active RN license in the State of Texas.
- Certification: BLS (Basic Life Support)-Required within 30 days of hire.
Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience in the US (required).
- 2 years of oncology experience (highly desired).
- Bone Marrow Transplant experience (highly desired).
