Job Description
Summary:S&G Convenience Stores is seeking a Retail Planogram/Merchandise Manager to join their Home Office Team in Sylvania OH (Toledo market). This role will be primarily working in the stores with a small percent of time in working in the Home Office. The Planogram Merchandise Manager is considered a Home Office team member reporting to the Vice President of Marketing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working with the VP of Marketing in designing and selecting store adjacencies and store layouts.
- Primary responsibility will be setting planograms and store category sets on a daily basis.
- Will be responsible for overseeing vendor partner resets such as Cold Vault and Beer resets.
- Responsible for ordering store gondola shelving and displays
- Assists in maintaining price label integrity in the stores
- Maintains storage area of equipment and retail supplies
- Will coordinate and interface daily with the Price Book Manager
- Will screen merchandise for clearance and returns to Distributor
- Will check for planogram integrity and new merchandise placement during store visits.
- Coordinate new item set up
- Assist with inventory and resolve discrepancies
- Will assist in training store management team on price labels planogram integrity distributor issues etc.
Requirements:
- Prior experience reading and setting planograms is a MUST
- PDI experience is a plus
- High School diploma or equivalent (Degree preferred)
- 50 hour work week
- Builds and creates displays
- Able to lift and place gondola and conduct store sets daily. Some heavy lifting will be required
- Valid drivers license with acceptable driving record.
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work unsupervised daily while still accomplishing expected goals and timelines.
- Retail background is a plus. Convenience industry helps.
