Trade Assistant
We are currently seeking expressions of interest for Trade Assistant to join our team providing maintenance services across our Defence bases in CentralQueensland. Here you willplay a key role in responding to corrective maintenance requirements whereyoull help deliver high-quality outcomes that support our essential services.
What Youll Do
This role offers a broad scope with key responsibilities including:
- Performing a variety of physical tasks such as lifting bending standing for extended periods and using hand or power tools
- Support the wider contract delivery through escorting duties assisting other services lines and contributing to a safe clean and well- maintained work environment.
- Identity and report environmental hazards incidents or behaviours that may negatively impact the environment.
What Youll Bring
- Ability and willingness to support tradesmen (electricians plumbers carpenters) also abilityto work alone carrying out scheduled and reactive maintenance on ADF facilities and equipment.
- Able to communicate effectively work autonomously and willing to offer support and assistance to other trades and apprentices
- Ability to work some overtime/weekend work as required and be on call for emergencies
