Position Summary
Under the direction of the Associate Director for Housing Business Operations the Housing Application & Assignments Coordinator (Coordinator) is responsible for managing the day-to-day housing license agreement application and room assignments for the on-campus housing program which houses 2200 students.
The Coordinator will assist with the housing cancellation review process and will utilize the housing management system (StarRez) and other databases daily. They will coordinate the day-to-day administration for student room assignments which includes room selection periods room assignments for term room changes and consolidation processes. The Coordinator will work with various students and families. The Coordinator is responsible for maintaining historical data and records handling sensitive information and providing data for applicable reports.
FLSA:Non-Exempt (eligible for overtime)
Anticipated Hiring Range:$4058 per month - $4707 per month commensurate with the candidates education experience skills and training.

Work Hours:Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Work hours dependent on department needs. Must have the ability to travel within California for work events that mayrequire limited early mornings nights and weekends throughout the year.

Entry to this classification requires a fully functional knowledge of and skill in standard office procedures and practices as well as an ability to understand and operate in a variety of organizational structures. Additionally incumbents are expected to have a thorough knowledge of English grammar spelling and punctuation and be able to clearly communicate orally and in writing. Some positions may require knowledge of business mathematics beyond basic arithmetic. The ability to use and quickly learn new office support technology systems and software packages is also a prerequisite.
These qualifications would normally be obtained through a high school program technical/vocational program or their equivalents combined with several years of related office work experience.
