NCDOTs TSMO Unit currently has an opening for a Program Coordinator II.

The Transportation Systems Management Operations (TSMO) Unit is responsible for planning design operations and maintenance of traffic signals and Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) on the State highway system. This position manages all administrative and personnel functions provides financial and procurement assistance for daily and emergency needs assists with tracking monitoring and reporting expenditures for the TSMO and Signal Maintenance budgets supervises a temporary admin position and serves as a backup for personnel and administration activities for the Mobility and Safety Division. This position involves consulting with four (4) managers twelve (12) supervisors and forty-six (46) engineers and technicians and over eighty-five (85) embedded contractors in carrying out responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
The program area for this position includes one or more of the following: working knowledge of the Transportation Systems Management and Operations business processes working knowledge of NCDOT human resources processes working knowledge of working knowledge of state budget processes and procedures and/or working knowledge of fixed asset policies and procedures.

Applicant must be able to legally operate a state vehicle for travel between the unit office locations in Garner and Raleigh.

Bachelors degree from appropriately accredited institution and one year of experience related to the area of assignment; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
