About the Role
You will be working at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH). It is one of the nations most respected hospitals with a distinguished history of serving the health needs of local statewide national and international communities. Our facilities and services are world class and our staff are dedicated innovative and caring.
The Porter transports all patients and equipment across RPAH using the most appropriate mode of transport. Our focus is to ensure the comfort safety and dignity of patients during transportation and to deliver a professional service in line with our CORE Values. The Porters service enhances patient flow by delivering on the expectation of timely movement of patients throughout the hospital.

Ideal Candidate
- Excellent communication skills including the ability to communicate with clinical staff members patients and families in a professional and courteous manner.
- Ability to meet the physical requirement of the position including manual handling and walking distances.
- Ability to work all shifts on a 24/7 rotational roster and be adaptable to changes in scheduling to meet hospital demands.
