Job Description

Te Whiwhinga mahi The opportunity

We are looking for a Casual Content Creator to join our Mori and Pacific team. In this role you will be responsible for creating engaging digital content to connect with Mori and Pacific students including posts graphics and short-form videos to promote the services within the Mori and Pacific Careers team!  This includes: The Mori and Pacific employability programme Te Haerenga employer events and student experiences. Youll bring a strong digital presence with the ability to connect with diverse student audiences across multiple platforms.

You will also be involved in:

  • Creating content using University branding to promote employer-hosted events by the Mori and Pacific (M&P) team.
  • Providing a professional marketing strategy in collaboration with partnering organisations for the Semester Two Student Reward & Recognition initiatives.
  • Collaborating with M&P student associations and networks to align and amplify content especially during Pacific Language Weeks and other key cultural events.
  • Capturing student success stories through interviews and short videos for use on social media the Te Haerenga website and presentations.
  • Developing culturally aligned content that reflects the values of the University Mori and Pacific communities.
  • Managing an annual content calendar aligned with key M&P delivery dates and milestones.

This casual position would ideally suit a current student in the middle or final year of studies or a recent graduate looking for extra hours. The role offers a flexible and dynamic opportunity to make a real impact in a vibrant values-based environment.

The hourly rate for this role is $27.

You will be creative connected and confident across digital platforms. Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience or a strong portfolio of content creation from previous roles side projects or voluntary work.
  • Currently studying towards a degree in Marketing Communications Media or a related field.
  • Passion for supporting Mori and Pacific student success and engagement.
  • Strong skills in social media management photography and/or video editing.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and strong networks within the University community.
