Role/ Department:

To manage relationships between our clients internal teams and custodians. This role serves as a key point of contact to ensure seamless collaboration efficient issue resolution and high-quality service delivery. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills a service-oriented mindset and experience in financial operations or custody services.

In addition act as support to the Shared Service Management function established to monitor oversee and improve the overall service to end clients and the Client SLA Management and Oversight Function.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Act as the primary liaison between clients internal departments and external custodians.
  • Conduct regular service reviews with custodians to monitor performance ensure SLA compliance and address operational issues.
  • Serve as an escalation point for custodian-related issues ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Monitor and assess custodian service levels escalating concerns and recommending improvements as needed.
  • Maintain documentation of custodian interactions including service reviews and quarterly scorecards.
  • Stay informed about industry trends custodian capabilities and regulatory changes impacting custody services

The successful candidate will benefit from having:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Able to prioritize and multi-task
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of financial services asset management and/or investment operations
  • Attention to detail
  • Works with a sense of urgency
  • Previous Financial Industry Operations Asset Management and/or Investment Operations experience a plus
  • Previous exposure to business process and/or technology enhancement initiative
  • Previous management and leadership experience within a relevant role
  • Previous Client Service experience in a service oriented environment

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Proven proactive client service experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge and delivery of solutions and responsiveness
  • Proven analytical/problem solving through organisation and time management
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong internal and external network to assist in the timely resolution of enquiries/issues
  • Initiative to independently accomplish tasks and make decisions
  • Manage multiple priorities considering client impact timeframe complexity and risk
  • Ability to represent Northern Trust in external meetings and the client in internal meetings
