Job Description
Tesoro Group is seeking an experienced Compliance Specialist to join one of our clients teams at (1) of their properties in Fargo ND (58103). The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years experience in property management (as an assistant property manager or property manager with compliance experience) knowledge and experience of affordable housing within section 42 income restricted and section 8 properties. This role will be working with (1) property with 150 units of affordable housing (section 42/income restricted/tax credit).
Salary: $25-$28/hour DOQ. This role is contract to hire (90 days before conversion).
Schedule: Monday Friday standard daytime hours.
The Compliance Technician is responsible for assisting with administering the sites subsidy program and administrative tasks involved with the day-to-day management of the site and is an important part of the Property Management Team.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the site-based property management program compliance
- Interviews residents and timely processes certifications in accordance with HUD rules and regulations along with policies and procedures
- Accurately enters compliance information into the system.
- Supports property management by professionally administering marketing leasing subsidy administration and the turnover operations
- Prepares all resident files to include all preparatory paperwork.
- Prepares all move-out material for Property Manager.
- Prepares completed move-in packets and maintains a supply of all pertinent materials
- Ensures compliance with state federal and local housing laws.
- Stays abreast of any changes in fair housing and affordable housing compliance requirements.
- Enters marketing information installs resident enters vacate notices prints reports and enters all data into the system.
- Assists with subsidy administration in accordance with HUD rules and regulations.
Position Requirements:
- 2 years experience in property management assistant property manager or property manager role with compliance.
- Knowledge of government subsidy programs.
- Knowledge of affordable housing within section 42 income restricted and section 8 properties
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Outlook and Excel.
- Be able to successfully complete a Kari Koskinen background check before employment.
