Job Description
Recruitment is proud to be working on behalf of a leading Top 20 firm of chartered accountants who are looking to recruit a Payroll Administrator to join their growing team based in Brighton.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly reputable practice that offers a supportive working environment clear progression opportunities and exposure to a diverse portfolio of clients across a wide range of industries.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and process weekly bi-weekly monthly and quarterly payrolls for a portfolio of clients
Ensure compliance with HMRC legislation and RTI submissions
Process new starters leavers P45s and P60s
Handle statutory payments including SSP SMP and SPP
Assist with the administration of auto-enrolment pensions
Support with CIS submissions and deductions
Liaise with clients regarding payroll queries and ensure accurate and timely processing
Work closely with the wider payroll team to ensure deadlines are met
Requirements
The Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience working within an accountancy practice or payroll bureau environment is essential.
Comfortable managing multiple client payrolls and deadlines
Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and best practices
CIS experience is highly desirable
CIPP qualification is preferred but not essential
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Strong IT skills including payroll software experience
