Job Description
- It is an 100% Onsite Position
- Full time - Tallahassee FL 32399-4111
- One year extendable for 2 more years
- Support a large user community in leveraging business-intelligence and OLAP tools to query files/databases build reports and optimize query performance.
- Contribute to report design user documentation and production support; monitor usage and batch jobs; upgrade enterprise-wide OLAP/reporting tools; ensure interoperability/ security of front-end components; and coordinate metadata.
- Operates as a project team member working relatively independently under guidance of senior staff.
- Prepare data (cleaning & preprocessing) to ensure accuracy/consistency across datasets; perform exploratory and statistical analysis to surface trends/patterns; interpret findings in the context of FloridaCommerce objectives for decision-making.
- Develop and execute SQL queries to extract/manipulate data; optimize queries for efficiency/performance while maintaining strict data integrity; deliver accurate timely and actionable analysis for operational/strategic needs.
- Support users in BI/OLAP tools; design and develop reports; create user documentation; monitor customer usage and batch queries; upgrade enterprise-wide OLAP/reporting tools; ensure interoperability/security of front-end components; coordinate metadata; support production systems.
- Contribute as a project team member; work independently under the direction of senior professionals/supervisors/managers.
Requirements
- Associates or Bachelors Degree or technical institute degree/certificate in Computer Science Information Systems or other related field OR Equivalent work experience (A minimum of seven (7) years of IT experience five (5) years of experience in business intelligence tools and systems and five (5) years of experience with economic and/or statistical analysis).
- Strong SQL for data extraction/manipulation and performance tuning; rigorous data-integrity practices.
- Proficiency with BI/OLAP concepts report design user documentation production support and batch monitoring.
- Familiarity with process/data modelling and data-architecture development methodologies.
- Ability to work independently as a project team member under senior direction.
Required Skills:
Strong SQL for data extraction/manipulation and performance tuning; rigorous data-integrity practices. Required Education:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field.
