Position: Jenks Trojan Boys Volleyball Coordinator
Reports to: Director of Commmunity Education and Assistant Director of Athletics for Community Education
Supervises: None
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in coaching volleyball and club supervision/coordination preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with all age levels.
- Demonstrated ability to use oral and written communication effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills with high sensitivity to detail are required.
- Proficient computer and clerical skills required.
- Satisfy all district requirements with regard to physical health citizenship and background check.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable.
Position Goal: Assist in the management planning organization and coordination of the operations and administration of the Jenks Trojan Boys Volleyball Program.
Performance Responsibilities
- Serve as the supervisor and coordinator of the Jenks Trojan Boys Volleyball Program including the day-to-day operation and oversight of all aspects of the program.
- Recruit and organize training for youth coaches
- Establish processes and timelines to ensure that all club tasks are handled in a timely manner.
- Assume responsibility for all clerical work needed in the operation of the volleyball program.
- Act as a liaison between the volleyball conference Jenks Community Education office coaches parents and players to communicate important information.
- Plan and organize District recruiting activities so young people have the opportunity to participate if interested.
- Attend some practices and all games to support coaches and troubleshoot possible needs.
- Recommend purchase of equipment supplies and uniforms as appropriate.
- Supervise the maintenance and inventory of all related volleyball equipment.
- Provide oversight for the safety conditions of District facilities.
- Survey and develop long- and short-term goals to meet internal and external customer needs including the expansion of the team.
- Develop coordinate and supervise a system of written/documented participant assessment.
- Ensure that the program aligns with and promotes the Districts values and goals.
- Foster positive school-community relations regarding the volleyball program.
- Create an environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the volleyball players.
- Model positive reinforcement with students program participants and staff.
- Perform such other duties as may be assigned.
