Under the supervision of the Manager of Labour Relations the Attendance Support Administrator is dedicated to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of attendance records. As the first point of contact for attendance-related inquiries the Attendance Administrator plays a pivotal role in ensuring smooth daily operations by assisting in monitoring attendance managing records regular reporting and providing support to the Attendance Support team.
Responsibilities Include:
Assist in the preparation and distribution of attendance reports to relevant departments and schools
Assist in the implementation of attendance support policies
Communicate effectively with employees managers Principals and HR colleagues regarding attendance-related matters
Collaborate with other departments to address attendance issues and implement solutions
Respond to inquiries regarding attendance policies and records
Ensure compliance with organizational attendance policies and procedures
Maintain the attendance management system including data integrity and accuracy
Generate regular and ad-hoc reports on attendance data
Assist in providing training to Leaders on attendance management policies and procedures
Ensure compliance with Board policies and procedures related to attendance and leave
Provide administrative support in this area
Performs other related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
Diploma in related field
3 years relevant human resources and/or administrative experience
Experience using Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)
Proficient in Google Applications (Docs Sheets Forms Sites Drive Email Calendar etc.)
Exceptional interpersonal verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently take initiative and coordinate/prioritize multiple assignments
Customer service oriented with a strong attention to detail
Excellent organizational analytical and time management skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
Knowledge of employment laws and regulations related to attendance and leave
Valid drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle
Individuals who possess an equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered
The following would be considered an asset:
Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) Designation
Experience in a similar role in a unionized environment
This is a full-time permanent position with an annual salary range of $69573 - $78629. The anticipated start date of the assignment will be as soon as the recruitment process has been completed and a mutual date has been set. A comprehensive employee benefits and pension package is provided.
