Key Accountabilities
- Provide office-based support to brokers helping maximise new business opportunities across the mortgage division.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with broker partners as well as internal teams including underwriting sales and broker support.
- Handle incoming calls and emails from brokers regarding new and existing loan referrals applications or system queries.
- Assess complex referrals and affordability cases at an early stage liaising with underwriting management to ensure efficient decisions.
- Review new applications to confirm they meet packaging requirements and qualifying criteria.
- Collect fees associated with mortgage applications.
- Gain and maintain a strong understanding of West Ones lending policy criteria and products.
- Develop expertise in our broker portal and Fusion system to support brokers with technical queries.
- Support the sales team by helping deliver training to new and existing brokers.
- Manage and respond to enquiries from mortgage intermediaries and the public via the website.
- Follow up with introducers on documentation applications and pipeline cases to keep them moving forward.
- Update spreadsheets manage system data and produce accurate reports.
- Contribute to system development testing and process improvements when required.

- Self-motivated proactive and able to work independently.
- Logical organised and able to problem-solve under pressure.
- Ability to pass internal competency tests post-induction.
Knowledge & Personal Attributes
- Previous experience in the mortgage market with relationship management skills is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Resilient flexible and comfortable working to targets and deadlines.
- Detail-oriented highly organised and eager to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Proactive and enthusiastic team player with a solutions-focused mindset.
