About the role

In this role you will assist to develop and implement biodiversity programs that support the NSW Biodiversity Offset Scheme.

Responsibilities include:

  • Contributing to the triage and coordination of responses to enquiries related to the Biodiversity Offsets Scheme supporting timely and accurate responses.
  • Assisting in developing and managing knowledge resources such as FAQs and troubleshooting guides to streamline support and expand self-service options for stakeholders.
  • Supporting data analysis efforts to identify trends in enquiries recommending improvements to enhance Help Desk response times and direct support capacity.
  • Contributing to training and resource development for internal staff and stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with team members on guidance material and contribute to broader Help Desk initiatives that improve system functionality and knowledge-sharing capabilities.
  • Demonstrating strong organisational and communication skills with an ability to prioritise effectively.

About You

You are a proactive and collaborative environmental professional with project management skills and a keen understanding of biodiversity policy and programs. With a background in environmental science or a related field you thrive in dynamic environments engage effectively with stakeholders and provide clear well-informed advice on complex regulatory frameworks.

You are driven by a commitment to conservation outcomes and bring strong analytical communication and planning capabilities to support the implementation of the NSW Biodiversity Offset Scheme.

Essential requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in economics environmental education science communications environmental management environmental science or equivalent.
  • Current Drivers License

Desirable requirements

Understanding of the Biodiversity Offset Scheme (BOS) and Biodiversity Assessment Method (BAM)

Participation in the NSW Biodiversity Offsets Scheme (BOS)
