Compensation & Benefits
- $58000 / year (DOE)
- Fully covered health dental and vision insurance
- 2 weeks PTO holidays including New Years Day MLK Day Memorial Day Juneteenth Independence Day Labor Day Thanksgiving Day after Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
- Occasional covered travel opportunities for trainings conferences or social events.
Note: Clubhouse hosts social events that are 4 hours maximum on all major holidays. Employees are required to help cover some of these holidays but are given double time off to compensate.

The job of Mental Health Generalist is a unique opportunity to change lives in a meaningful and positive way. The job plays an essential role in the success of this program by participating in the clubhouse operations (cooking cleaning clerical tasks special projects etc.) social/recreational programs employment programs and education programs. Although the completion of these tasks are important to keep the clubhouse running the real objective is to encourage the members to work alongside you and support their growth through these activities. Position reports to the Program Director of HERO House Everett.
Key Job Functions
- Offer a positive supportive relationship that helps promote hope choice wellness and recovery for members while working side by side at HERO House Everett across the following areas:
- Work ordered day (within assigned unit such as Hospitality/Kitchen or Business/Clerical)
- Employment assistance (Transitional and Supported)
- Education assistance
- Housing assistance
- Social/recreational events
- Community advocacy
- Other areas
- Provide assistance in identifying and linking to community-based services and supports (primary care mental health and/or substance abuse treatment housing financial benefits etc.)
- Provide education and resources that support illness self-management self-determination self-advocacy and shared-health-care decision making
Required Qualifications
- Completed a Bachelors Degree or higher
- Possess an active Washington State Drivers License
- Able to pass a criminal history background check
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and other basic computer skills
- Can take initiative and show an eagerness to contribute to clubhouse success
- Can work well with members by listening effectively breaking down large projects into smaller tasks problem solving and facilitating individual / group activities
- Can work well both autonomously and collaboratively on a team
- Can communicate effectively both verbally and written
- Can balance multiple priorities at once
- Can work occasional evenings and weekends (Typically only an extra 2 hours for social events time worked over 40 hours will be compensated with additional time-off)
- Can occasionally travel with members to various conferences trainings and social events
Nice-to-haves
- Experience working with people with serious mental illness
- Experience providing employment services and knowledge of the professional landscape
- Prior training in Trauma Informed Care
