OVERVIEW
As Senior Software Engineer you will play a critical role in design and implementation of key features for Alo Yoga ecommerce offering. The ideal candidate will be motivated and proactive with a strong technical background; experience with design and implementation; proven development domain and communication skills; and a track record of delivering high-quality software.
The Ecommerce Engineering Team is responsible for providing a scalable highly performant platform to power all Ecommerce experiences for US and International customers. Our Ecommerce experience reaches millions of Alo Yoga customers through various channels with most interactions on Mobile web browsers primarily on Safari and Chrome. Our services power our most loyal customers using our Native iOS App.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Understand and elevate front end architecture and quality at Alo Yoga.
- Develop performant features incorporating an evolutionary design and iterative development to balance quality and speed of delivery.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architects Product Engineering and Data science teams to align on business and technical requirements.
- Establish coding standards and conduct code review procedures to ensure code quality.
- Deep dive into technical challenges related to scale resiliency and operational efficiency.
- Participate in production releases implementing proper branching strategies QA handoff Release Runbooks and seamless production deployments.
- Minimize production outages and severity issues with proactive collaboration and monitoring.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 8 years of experience in software development for building serverless micro services and distributed systems.
- Working experience with event driven programming and design.
- Awareness of cross-browser compatibility issues and client-side vs server-side performance considerations.
- Strong ecommerce development experience using Typescript GraphQL Python Distributed Cache and DynamoDB.
- Proficient with front-end technologies ReactJS/Redux HTML5. CSS3 Web Pixels
- DevOps expertise with Docker Kubernetes CI/CD logging telemetry monitoring alerting and proven track record of troubleshooting production issues.
- Ability to break complex things into small simpler building blocks to ensure continuous delivery
- Attention to detail curious to learn competitive to collaborate and win and have fun taking on challenges.
- Experience with ecommerce platforms like BigCommerce Commerce tools Shopify
- Integration experience with incorporating third party products/vendors
- Experience with major cloud providers AWS Azure GCP
- Experience optimizing performance with edge computing CDNs browser caching incremental rendering to build blazing fast ecommerce sites.
- This position requires you to be onsite full time at either our Headquarters in Beverly Hills or at our office in San Ramon
The base salary range for this position is $150000-$180000 per year which represents the current range for the base salary for this exempt position. Please note that actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location experience and performance. As such on occasion and when applicable there is the possibility that the final agreed-upon base salary may be outside of the upper end of the range. Please also note the range listed is just one component of the companys total rewards package for exempt employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses long term incentives a PTO policy and many other progressive benefits.
