About the Role:
Protech is seeking a passionate and experienced WHS Business Partner to join our national team with focus on our Mining Sector Clients. This is a pivotal role for a safety professional who thrives on influencing outcomes building strong client relationships and driving proactive safety culture in partnership with our client sites.
As a WHS Business Partner you will:
- Be a trusted advisor to our internal teams and clients providing credible practical and timelyWHS guidance.
- Collaborate with clients on-site to deliver tailored safety solutions that put people first and create value.
- Coach and support our Account Managers and Business Managers in executing WHS responsibilities.
- Lead and facilitate Safe Client and Safe People onboarding processes.
- Respond to incidents triage actions and guide local teams or take the lead as needed.
- Contribute to the execution of our Strategic Safety Roadmap in alignment with national and regional leadership.
- Leverage your strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Be the team subject matter expert in Mining Safety.
Desired Skills and Experience:
We are looking for a talented individual who brings with them not only their experience but also their determination to succeed and grow with us. To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate:
- 515 years of experience in WHS.
- 3 years of experience in mining (hands-on mining experience is highly regarded).
- Strong site-based safety background with a proactive solutions-focused mindset.
- Excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn and grow.
- A deep understanding of how safety is influenced through relationships and representation on client sites.
- Ability to travel monthly across QLD WA and NT.
