What You Will Do
We are seeking a dynamic strategic and solution-oriented Business Development Manager to join one of our high-performing Partner Success Teams. In this role you will work with Klarnas largest and most strategic merchants to uncover growth opportunities and deliver scalable value-driven solutions. Youll need to be comfortable in a fast-paced self-directed environment where critical thinking rapid learning and strategic decision-making are essential to success.
Your responsibilities will include:
Building and executing mutually beneficial business plans with partners to drive shared growth.
Identifying enhancements and optimization opportunities for existing partner relationships.
Collaborating cross-functionally with analysts delivery product and marketing teams to maximize enablement and lead generation activities.
Leading efforts to identify and close new partnerships upsells and expansion opportunities.
Developing deep trust-based relationships across all organizational levels including C-suite stakeholders.
Conducting market analysis to strategically position Klarna in key sectors.
Network effectively with local existing and prospective clients and develop strong professional relationships.
Delivering insightful and tailored Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to merchant leadership.
Operating effectively in a culturally diverse ecosystem and tailoring strategies without compromising Klarnas brand identity.
Maintaining operational excellence through effective time budget and resource management.
Being an active contributor in elevating Klarnas business to the next level.
Who You Are
5 years in Business Development Account Management or Sales ideally within retail payments technology or e-commerce.
Bachelors degree in a related field.
Highly adaptable and driven with the ability to self-learn and make strategic decisions in high-velocity environments.
Exceptional critical thinking skills with a strong ability to break down complex problems and develop clear actionable solutions.
Comfortable navigating ambiguity and independently prioritizing tasks to drive outcomes.
Outstanding communication relationship-building and organizational skills.
Passionate about continuous improvement ownership and collaborative teamwork.
Proven ability to manage executive-level relationships and influence decision-making.
Deep curiosity and cultural intelligence with a desire to build business impact globally.
Awesome to Have
Advanced degree or relevant certifications.
Experience working across international markets and cultures.
Proficiency in additional languages.
Familiarity with CRM platforms and data analysis tools.
