About the Position

The IT Program Manager provides overall coordination and direction of one or more highly complex and/or high-risk information systems/technology projects and teams. This position ensures that all phases of assigned projects are completed on time within budget and in compliance with established quality standards and customer expectations. The Program Manager oversees complex technology project(s) that span across multiple departments and business processes.

Position Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Computer Information Systems Business Administration Project Management or related field.

Experience

  • Five years (5) of experience in managing IT projects or IT systems analysis design or programming.

OR

Combined education and experience qualifications

  • Other combinations of education and experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year for year basis.

Other requirements

  • Must possess a valid Arizona drivers license or have the ability to obtain by the time of hire.
  • Training that may be provided on-the-job: FEMA NIMS IS100 and 700; Safety; Payroll; PREA.
  • Prior to hiring the Sheriffs Office requires that all candidates pass a background review.

Our Preferred Candidate has

  • Seven (7) years of experience in IT project or program management.
  • PMP PgMP or equivalent project management certification.
  • Agile/Scrum certification (e.g. CSM SAFe).
  • Strong understanding of SDLC Agile and hybrid project methodologies.
  • Experience with Organizational Change Management (OCM).
  • Experience in deploying Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) applications and systems.
  • Experience in deploying Software as a service (SaaS) applications and systems.
  • Masters degree in business administration or IT related field.
