Job Description
We are looking for a 3-month Temporary On-Site Desktop Support person to work for an Electronic Manufacturing company located in Inglewood.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate degree or equivalent certification in Information Technology Computer Science or a related field.
- Proven experience in IT support or help desk roles preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems Microsoft Office Suite and common business software applications.
- Familiarity with network fundamentals including TCP/IP DNS DHCP and VPN technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification such as CompTIA A Network or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA).
- Experience supporting manufacturing execution systems (MES) or industrial control systems (ICS).
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and experience implementing security protocols in a corporate environment.
- Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies and cloud services.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple support requests and projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line technical support to employees by diagnosing and resolving hardware software and network issues.
- Install configure and maintain computer systems peripherals and software applications specific to manufacturing operations.
- Monitor and maintain network infrastructure including switches routers and wireless access points to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist in the setup and support of manufacturing equipment interfaces and related IT systems to ensure smooth production workflows.
- Document technical issues and resolutions maintain inventory of IT assets and escalate complex problems to senior IT staff as needed.
- Conduct regular system backups updates and security checks to protect company data and maintain compliance with IT policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support IT projects including hardware upgrades and software deployments.
