The Assistant Manager supports the General Manager in all aspects of hotel operations to ensure a consistently high level of guest satisfaction team performance and operational efficiency. This position requires strong leadership attention to detail and the ability to oversee day-to-day activities including front desk housekeeping maintenance and guest service.
Assist the General Manager in managing all hotel departments to ensure smooth daily operations.
Supervise front desk housekeeping breakfast and maintenance teams.
Lead and coach team members to meet brand service standards and enhance guest satisfaction.
Handle guest concerns promptly and professionally to resolve issues and ensure a positive stay.
Oversee daily financial tasks such as shift reports cash handling and deposits.
Ensure compliance with IHG brand standards safety protocols and company policies.
Participate in scheduling training hiring and performance evaluations.
Conduct property walks and inspections to ensure cleanliness safety and brand compliance.
Assist with inventory ordering supplies and controlling operational costs.
Step in for the General Manager as needed in their absence.
High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality or business degree preferred.
Minimum 2 years of hotel experience with at least 1 year in a supervisory or management role.
Strong communication organizational and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in hotel systems such as Opera or similar PMS platforms.
Flexibility to work mornings evenings weekends and holidays as needed.
Customer-focused with a hands-on management style.
Experience in a branded hotel especially IHG or Holiday Inn Express.
Knowledge of IHG systems and standards (Merlin Concerto etc.).
