The Opportunity
Youll play a key role in preparing accurate timely and competitive estimates for a wide range of projects. Whether working independently or as part of a team on large-scale tenders your expertise and precision will help secure successful project outcomes.
The ideal candidate is motivated to learn and adapt to the Star Groups procedures and systems. It is an opportunity to further your estimating experience in a number of the diverse areas .
Complete estimates independently for Star Group bids and projects.
Working as part of a team on large tenders.
Deliver accurate and quality submissions for bids.
Attention to detail in reviewing tender documentation and making accurate allowances.
Deliver and manage tenders within tight deadlines.
Provide estimates using Star Group estimating systems and processes and includes using Star Group estimating software.
Estimating Design and Construct tenders.
Estimating across several disciplines including Electrical Construction Fitout Communications Rail and Infrastructure.
Qualifications and experience required:
Electrical trade or relevant qualifications (essential).
Experience as a qualified electrical trade position in construction (essential).
Experience in a previous estimating position in the electrical construction industry.
Experience in using estimating software.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy over long periods.
Experience with prioritising and meeting deadlines within short notice.
Experience in bid and tender processes.
Ability to work with clients professionally and achieve clients requirements.
Ability to think outside the square and experience in value engineering.
