Job Description:
We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Demolition Estimator to join our growing team in Burnaby BC. This position plays a key role in supporting our pre-construction efforts by delivering accurate and timely cost estimates for demolition projects across Western Canada. Your ability to interpret construction documents evaluate scope and prepare detailed quotations will directly impact our profitability and competitiveness in the market.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed full-cost demolition estimates including labour equipment materials and subcontractor inputs.
- Conduct site visits as required to assess scope and logistics.
- Develop and maintain a reliable list of subcontractors vendors and suppliers.
- Establish accurate unit costs productivity rates and location-specific pricing factors.
- Prepare and deliver competitive proposals for a variety of project sizes and complexities.
- Collaborate with project managers engineers and operational teams to ensure cost alignment and schedule feasibility.
- Track bid status follow up on opportunities and support business development by building relationships with new and existing clients.
- Utilize estimating software and internal systems to streamline proposal development.
- Participate in pre-construction meetings and provide input on constructability and value engineering opportunities.
- Ensure all estimates meet client expectations are completed on time and reflect a high level of professionalism and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cost estimating preferably within the demolition or construction industry.
- Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints specifications and construction documents.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel Word Outlook); familiarity with Bluebeam or B2W is a strong asset.
- Experience with construction/demolition takeoffs and estimating software.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Exceptional time management organization and communication skills.
- Valid driver s license required.

SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Working with Estimating in project pursuits, including risk management, sub contract buy outs and proposals as needed Prepare and manage sub contractor contracts and hold backs for project milestones Monitor project status reports for performance in safety, cost forecasting, and scheduling Manage the financial performance of the projects including approval of change orders Managing project team, client representative, consultant and trade contractor relationships. Monitoring progress of the design, including compliance issues, quality, general coordination, constructability, and timing of deliverables. Thorough communication of potential opportunities and challenges, and managing client s expectations through regular communication. QUALIFICATIONS: Post secondary education or training in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline. 10+ years heavy civil construction experience with at least 3 years in a Project Management role Experience in estimating civil and infrastructure projects preferred Experience managing heavy civil projects such as bridges, underground infrastructure, excavations and/or road construction Demonstrated experience implementing a strong safety culture by application of health, safety, and environment principles and legislation. In-depth knowledge of the construction industry including building materials, construction specifications, methods and procedures, construction law and building codes, and safety and quality management practices. Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills including the ability to manage project budgets and schedules. Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with clients, consultants and sub-contractors Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, and project management and scheduling software,
