Job Description
Job Title: Electrical/Mechanical Assembler
Location: Plattsburgh NY (100% onsite)
Positions Available: 16
Must have background in Rail/Aero/heavy Industrial
Job Summary:
We are seeking experienced Electrical and Mechanical Assemblers to support manufacturing operations at a leading rail vehicle production facility. Assemblers will be responsible for wire harness and component installations on train cars ensuring high quality and adherence to safety and productivity standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install wire harnesses and mechanical components on rail vehicles.
- Follow standard operating procedures and method times for assigned tasks.
- Ensure work meets all EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) and QA (Quality Assurance) requirements.
- Maintain a Defects Per Unit (DPU) rate of less than 25 per car.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to maintain quality and output targets.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in electrical and/or mechanical assembly (rail aerospace automotive preferred).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools crimpers and torque tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Willingness to work various shifts including weekends.
