ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:
Aroha Technologies Inc. is currently seeking experienced Electrical and Mechanical Assemblers to support production operations at a leading rail vehicle manufacturing facility in Plattsburgh NY. This long-term contract role is ideal for skilled professionals with a strong background in mechanical or electrical assembly within the rail automotive or aerospace industries.
Youll play a critical role in assembling next-generation railcars ensuring adherence to quality safety and productivity standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Install electrical wire harnesses mechanical assemblies and subcomponents on railcars.
- Interpret and follow engineering drawings blueprints and technical schematics.
- Use hand tools torque tools crimpers and pneumatic tools with precision and care.
- Perform work in line with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) and Quality Assurance (QA) guidelines.
- Ensure a Defects Per Unit (DPU) rate of less than 25 per car.
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet daily quality and output targets.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical and/or mechanical assembly.
- Preferred background in rail aerospace or automotive industries.
- Proficient in reading technical drawings and schematics.
- Skilled in the safe and effective use of hand and power tools.
- Excellent attention to detail safety-focused mindset and high-quality workmanship.
- Ability to work various shifts including evenings and weekends as needed.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certifications are a plus.
