We are a nonprofit donor-supported organization that has raised and invested billions of dollars to help develop cystic fibrosis therapies that have changed the lives of people with this disease. Nearly every CF medicine available today was made possible because of Foundation support.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Development Director is responsible for leading and managing fundraising events campaigns and/or programs that will ensure financial growth by executing best practices in compliance with policies and procedures. Cultivates and stewards relationships to deliver results through meeting quantifiable goals in a collaborative team environment that supports the mission to improve the lives of those with cystic fibrosis and their families.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accountable for own budget and revenue through leadership of multiple priority events and campaigns. Responsible for accurately forecasting revenue and tracking expenses for assigned events/campaigns.

  • Identify cultivate and recruit sponsors donors board/committee members volunteers and participants for events/campaigns/programs.

  • Responsible for event execution including set-up logistics vendors contracts auctions volunteers participants and marketing.

  • Network engage and build relationships with the community CF patients/families/clinics volunteers donors and sponsors to foster engagement and develop a pipeline of supporters.

  • Plan lead and support meetings networking events and/or conferences in partnership with key leaders sponsors donors and volunteers.

  • Collaborate on the development of fundraising plans and budgets to achieve growth and work strategically to ensure key performance benchmarks are achieved.

  • Manage external communication through social media content creation and email strategy to increase exposure and engagement.

  • Accurately communicate and raise awareness about CF and the mission of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation at community events and Foundation-sponsored programs.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent education/experience.

  • Minimum of 4-6 years of fundraising/sales experience required.

  • Good customer service skills.

  • Strong volunteer management experience.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook Word Excel.

  • Strong interpersonal skills (verbal and written) necessary in order to communicate diplomatically and effectively with volunteers donors and staff.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:

  • Reports to the Area direct reports.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Work nights and weekends as necessary.

  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel to meetings or events.

  • Sitting bending reaching and walking.

  • Some heavy lifting may be .

The salary range is $69500.00 to $86900.00. Specific salary varies based on geographic location and is commensurate with experience.
