We are looking for a compassionate and technically proficient Animal Health Clinic Supervisor to inspire and guide a team of dedicated technicians to deliver excellent customer service and exceptional medical services to the animals in our facilities. As the Animal Health Clinic Supervisor you will organize plan assist and coordinate your team to provide optimal animal health and welfare. This position requires the employee to be in the office or customer-facing for all hours worked.

We Require
Three years of experience treating and handling animals in an animal hospital humane society or veterinary clinic environment
One year of supervisory experience
High school diploma or GED
Completion of 30 semester or 45 quarter units in Animal Health Animal Science Zoology or related animal sciences may be substituted for up to one year of the required experience
We Also Value
Completion of a two-year curriculum in an accredited veterinary technology program that is certified by the Arizona State Veterinary Medical Examining Board
Supervisory or lead experience in a veterinary clinic or animal shelter setting
Job Contributions
Supervise and support Animal Health Technician staff including recruiting onboarding scheduling performance evaluations coaching and disciplinary actions to ensure team effectiveness and accountability
Lead staff training anddevelopment delivering initial training for new hires and coordinating ongoing education to ensure staff maintain proficiency as procedures and protocols evolve
Demonstrate advanced technical proficiencyin all aspects of veterinary support including surgical prep anesthesia induction and monitoring emergency care euthanasia vaccinationand epidemiology while ensuring all technician tasks are completed to standard
Oversee daily clinic operations organizingworkflow to maintain surgical efficiency and ensuring proper sanitation and adherence to safety protocols aligned with Federal State and County regulations
Maintain detailed and accurate medical records including surgical documentation controlled substance logs and clinic reports ensuring compliance with legal and medical standards
Deliverexceptional customer service responding to public inquiries and complaints with professionalism and empathy while resolving complex customer service issues
Build andsustain positive relationshipswith clients staff and volunteers through clear communication education and active promotion of the departments mission and services
Manage medical inventory and supplies including controlled substances ensuring accurate tracking appropriate storage and availability to support high-quality care
Monitorand enforce safety and sanitation standards regularly assessing clinic conditions and ensuring all staff follow proper procedures to maintain a safe hygienic environment
Recommend and implement procedural improvements contributing to the development of policies programs and protocols that enhance clinic operations and animal care outcomes
Working Conditions
Work is predominantly performed in an animal shelter with exposure to extreme and varying temperatures dogs and cats with unknown temperament and behavior excessive noise animal waste and fluids deceased animals cleaning chemicals and Zoonotic diseases
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand and walk on all types of surfaces sometimes slippery and/or uneven and rough and perform duties that require lifting bending and stooping

Protective equipment is required as appropriate (e.g. in an isolation ward)
Ability to exert 50-100 lbs. occasionally 10-25 lbs. frequently or up to 10-20 lbs. constantly
