Job Description
This Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position involves providing direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). The role encompasses patient assessment medication administration (as permitted by state regulations) and carrying out treatment plans. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential for effective teamwork and patient care.
- Gathering and reporting patient data.
- Carrying out physician orders and performing therapeutic procedures.
- Performing patient assessments (within scope of practice).
- Administering medications (within scope of practice).
- Collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
- Current BLS certification.
- One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience (preferred but not required).
- Proficiency with ventilators tracheostomies and PICC lines.
- Two years of experience in direct patient care.
- Shift work: 4 ten-hour shifts or 5 eight-hour shifts based on department needs.
