Visionist has an exciting new opportunity for a Senior LLM Engineer. Join the team leading the transition of a prototype large language model (LLM) framework into production for thousands of users. As the LLM expert youll help build a premier enterprise-level frontier LLM for developers analysts and leadership at a critical defense lead the advancement hosting and optimization of LLM infrastructure within a secure computer environment. This role combines hands-on implementation with thought leadershipdriving new features shaping user experience and promoting best practices. Your contributions are
- Serve as the go-to expert on LLM design implementation best practices and limitations
- Collaborate with the prototype team to transition the existing LLM tool suite into a production environment
- Implement and integrate state-of-the-art LLM architectures and techniques
- Monitor and optimize model performance based on key metrics and usage patterns
- Stay current with LLM research and industry trends and apply relevant advancements to improve the system
- Serve as the go-to expert on LLM design implementation best practices and limitations
- Collaborate with the prototype team to transition the existing LLM tool suite into a production environment
- Implement and integrate state-of-the-art LLM architectures and techniques
- Monitor and optimize model performance based on key metrics and usage patterns
- Stay current with LLM research and industry trends and apply relevant advancements to improve the system
Requirements for your new career
- Bachelors degree in a technical discipline
- 8 years of experience in software development
- AWS Certified Cloud Developer Associate (or comparable certification)
- Experience configuring a platform for metrics collection and monitoring (e.g. Prometheus ELK)
- Production-grade software development experience in an enterprise language (Java Python)
- Strong expertise in sourcing running quantizing and hosting LLMs
- Solid understanding of LLM architectures training techniques and evaluation methodologies
- Knowledge of AWS services

Salary range: $135000 - $206000
