Job Description
The Multinational team within the Casualty Claims Department provides specialized claim handlingon behalf of Chubbs Multinational customers in the U.S. and people leader for a team of up to six adjusters will be responsible for delivering excellent financial and service results involving bodily injury and property damage claims under Automobile and General Liability (GL) policies including Product Premises Completed Operations and Employers Liability coverages on primary and excess policies.
Responsibilities:
The desired candidate is service-oriented and results-driven and must also possess excellent administrative leadership and organizational skills. Candidate must be able to make timely and appropriate decisions. Experience in performance management training and staff development is a strong plus. This position will:
- Assist team members in developing and executing claim resolution strategies.
- Train develop and manage a team of handlers by developing and executing on individual professional development plans for each team member.
- Recognize significant potential exposures on claims and prepare appropriate alerts to senior managers and our internal business partners.
- Conduct monthly self-audits of the team against Best Practices standards.
- Provide exceptional service to our internal and external business partners.
- Analyze and identify coverage issues timely and work with the adjuster to communicate coverage positions to appropriate parties.
- Authorize reserve and settlement within your authority to team members.
- Direct and closely monitor cases with financial impact in team through trial/resolution.
- Ensure team members set reserves timely within authority or makes claim recommendations concerning reserve changes to management.
- Travel up to 25%.
Qualifications
- At least five years of experience in claims management with a high degree of competence in the handling of complex casualty claims involvingcatastrophic injuries property damage and products liability on both primary and excess policies is required.
- Experience should include handling a varied and complex general liability matters.
- Experience handling international claims is preferred.
- Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal communications and negotiation skills; and an ability to deal with customers and business partners in a professional and empathetic manner.
- Ability to make prompt intelligent decisions based upon detailed analysis of complex loss scenarios.
- An advanced degree (JD or MBA) is preferred but not required.

The pay range for the role is $117000 to $198900. The specific offer will depend on an applicants skills and other factors. The disclosed pay range estimate may be adjusted for the applicable geographic differential for the location in which the position is filled.
