Our client is the largest and most prestigious M&A consulting firm based out of Bengaluru renowned for its expertise in complex high-value domestic and cross-border transactions. The firm works with a wide range of clients including high-growth startups listed entities PE/VC-backed companies and multinational corporations.
Role Overview:
As an Assistant Manager M&A Tax you will be a key member of the transaction tax team supporting deal execution conducting due diligence and advising on tax-efficient transaction structures. This role offers hands-on exposure to a wide variety of M&A transactions and an opportunity to work closely with seasoned experts in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
Support in tax due diligence deal structuring and transaction advisory for M&A and restructuring transactions
Assist in preparing tax analysis reports and client presentations for various transactions
Research and interpret tax laws case laws and regulatory provisions applicable to deals (including Income Tax FEMA Companies Act etc.)
Work with internal teams and external stakeholders including legal counsels auditors and client representatives
Draft structuring memos opinion notes and documentation for deal execution
Track regulatory developments tax rulings and their implications on M&A
Mentor and review the work of junior analysts or interns when requir
Desired Candidate Profile:
Qualified CA with 2 3 years of post-qualification experience preferably in M&A tax / transaction tax / corporate tax advisory
Strong working knowledge of Income Tax Act FEMA Companies Act International Tax
Prior experience in a Big 4 or reputed consulting firm is preferred
Excellent analytical communication and presentation skills
Ability to handle tight deadlines and multi-task across deals
A proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem solving
