In this essential role you will play a key part in overseeing and managing highway maintenance activities within a designated area of the County. This position allows you to showcase your organizational and analytical abilities as you plan and coordinate all work in the region supervise general crews manage agilityrelated tasks and oversee specialized crew operations. You will directly supervise crew supervisors and provide handson management for various projects as needed. This role not only offers a fulfilling opportunity to enhance public safety but also enables you to make a significant impact on the functionality of our highway systems and the community as a whole.
In this position you are responsible for identifying the necessary maintenance tasks for a region by assessing highway conditions negotiating for available manpower and equipment and addressing the regions critical needs. Additionally you will evaluate the performance of subordinate foremen in executing planned activities and implement corrective measures as needed to ensure that objectives are achieved. You will also assess the skill levels of your team members and provide recommendations for training and opportunities aimed at enhancing overall performance.
