Title: Project Manager- HVAC
Compensation: $120000 base commission incentives

About the Job:
Lakeside HR Group has been engaged to recruit a Project Manager on behalf of a well-established Manufacturer s Representative of Mechanical Equipment for the HVAC Industry. The Project Manager will serve as a key liaison between customers engineers manufacturers and internal teams. This role is responsible for overseeing material submittals procurement cost control billing coordination and providing exceptional support throughout the project lifecycle.
This position offers clear growth potential and is a hands-on opportunity ideal for someone with strong technical knowledge in HVAC or electrical systems excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with customers (in-person phone email Teams or text) to manage engineering requirements select materials from factory offerings and obtain P.E.-stamped engineered approvals.
- Produce and manage submittal documentation including specification compliance letters operation and maintenance manuals and billing schedules.
- Book set up and manage job files (manual and electronic) including documenting correspondence managing submittals placing orders billing and expediting materials as needed.
- Perform material take-offs and select appropriate materials based on mechanical drawings plans and specifications using manufacturer software or manual methods.
- Monitor cost control and identify cost-saving opportunities during both the submittal and release phases; maintain price protection documentation with factories.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers engineers factory reps and outside sales; provide high-level customer service through effective multitasking and prioritization.
- Support the Quotation Department by preparing scope letters/quotations and mentoring quote jobs when needed.
- Handle post-sale project activities including processing factory purchases and invoices billing customers and managing freight claims for damaged or shorted shipments.
- Assist with warehouse operations such as restocking inventory packaging and shipping orders; rotate responsibilities with other project managers as needed.
- Process credit applications Georgia lien law paperwork credit card transactions and related order forwarding.
Required Skills & Knowledge:
- Bachelor s degree preferred (Engineering discipline ideal).
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans perform material take-offs and make product selections aligned with project requirements.
- Knowledge of quotation writing and submittal processes.
- Familiarity with job cost management billing and factory purchasing.
- Excellent communication organization and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in managing multiple priorities and ensuring timely accurate execution.
- Understanding of freight claims credit processing and lien law procedures.
