About our School
St. Michaels Catholic Preparatory School is an outstanding coeducational Independent Catholic school serving students from PreKindergarten through 12th grade on two adjacent campuses in Austin Texas. Summary of Position
Our Girls Varsity Soccer program is one of the best Private School programs in the state making it to the TAPPS Final 4 in five of the past six seasons. We routinely have highlevel soccer players who sign scholarships to play at the next level. The school seeks an experienced Soccer coach who is involved in the community and dedicated to carrying out the Christcentered mission of the school. This position is a parttime staff position beginning in Fall 2025. This position will report to the Director of Athletics. The coach will work seasonally as needed for the sport assigned.
Job Details
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Help organize and run productive practices from September to February.
- Communicate expectations to players and parents
- Evaluating performance with suitable feedback balancing criticism with positivity and motivation
- Assessing strengths and weaknesses in a participants performance and identifying areas for further development
- Encouraging participants to gain and develop skills knowledge and techniques
- Ensuring that participants train and perform to a high standard of health and safety at all times
- Inspiring confidence and selfbelief
- Acting as a role model gaining the respect and trust of the people you work with
- Working to a high legal and ethical standard at all times particularly concerning issues such as child safeguarding and health and safety requirements
- Maintaining records of participant performance
- Planning and running programs of activities for groups and individuals
- Organizing a competitive nondistrict schedule
Required Experience Degree and Skills
- Head Coaching experience is preferred
- Organization and time management skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude towards students staff and faculty
