QUALIFICATIONS:
- Masters degree or higher from a recognized accredited college or university;
- Minimum of five (5) years of successful classroom teaching experience in a Career & Technical Educationrelated field (preferred);
- A valid Texas Administrators/Supervisors certificate;

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Collaborate with other CTE Curriculum Coordinators to:
- Determine and manage priorities to ensure the attainment of district and department goals and objectives as related to the career fields
- Coordinate the development review and update of CTErelated curriculum documents and materials including curriculum guides course outlines scopes and sequences and grading plans.
- Develop and coordinate a continuing evaluation of programs within the Career & Technical Education Department utilizing teacher committees along with existing and new business partnerships and implement changes based on the findings.
- Review CCMR data related to CTE and support campuses in increasing the number of CTE program of study completers and industrybased certifications earned.
- Implement the policies established by federal and state law State Board of Education rule and local board policy in the area of career & technical education.
- Compile maintain and file all physical and computerized reports records and other documents
- Compile and administer career & technical education budgets based upon documented program needs and ensure that programs are costeffective and funds are managed wisely.
- Coordinate the purchase of equipment and supplies and initiate purchase orders quotes and bids in accordance with budgetary limitations and district policies.
- Prepare and deliver staff development related to best practices in both industry and education emphasizing alignment with career & college readiness.
- Observe classroom instruction and provide feedback and assistance to classroom teachers to facilitate improvement and innovation.
- Work with teacher committees to organize and maintain curriculum materials.
- Assist with the selection of instructional materials for CTE courses.
- Coordinate and manage opportunities for students to participate in activities/competitions and/or achieve certifications allowing them to demonstrate skills that exemplify industry standards.
- Attend professional growth activities to keep abreast of innovations in education and industry
- Continually maintain and demonstrate an attitude consistent with the concept and goal of achieving outstanding customer service levels and customer satisfaction.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction and Director of Career & Technical Education.
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function.
