Job Description
As an Accounting & Payroll Specialist you will manage payroll for a large seasonal workforce ensure compliance in onboarding and collaborate with global teams for streamlined financial operations. Your role is vital in keeping the financial engine running smoothly for programs that transform student lives.

Your Daily Tasks
- Ensure seasonal employees are fully onboarded before summer payroll
- Process weekly summer payroll with accuracy and timeliness
- Coordinate with operations team for seamless use of Rippling system
- Take ownership of the I9 compliance process for all staff
- Manage finance and payroll inboxes for internal and external communication
- Handle accounts payable and receivable transactions
- Suggest and implement system improvements across departments
- Support audits and special finance projects as needed
Requirements
The Qualifications We Seek
- Minimum of 3 5 years of experience onboarding employees into a payroll system and managing weekly payroll for up to 1000 seasonal employees.
- C1 English proficiency
- Familiarity with Rippling or comparable HRIS systems
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Comfortable using phone and email to communicate with candidates and employees throughout the onboarding process.
- Understanding of legal requirements and best practices in employee onboarding
- Willingness to work extended hours during summer peak
- Ownership mindset in addressing employee needs
- Strong prioritization and multitasking skills
- Experience working independently and in team settings
- High level of confidentiality
- Experience with remote or crossborder teams is a plus
- Flexibility to align with U.S. time zones
