We are seeking a dynamic and creative Resort Event Organiser to join our team at a luxurious resort in Doha Qatar. As the Resort Event Organiser you will be responsible for planning coordinating and executing a wide range of events from intimate gatherings to largescale conferences and weddings. This role requires a passionate professional who can create unforgettable experiences for our guests while maintaining the highest standards of service and efficiency.
- Conceptualize plan and manage various events including corporate meetings weddings social gatherings and holiday celebrations
- Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and requirements providing expert advice and creative solutions
- Develop detailed event proposals including timelines budgets and logistics
- Coordinate with internal departments (e.g. catering housekeeping security) to ensure seamless event execution
- Negotiate and manage relationships with external vendors and suppliers
- Oversee event setup execution and breakdown ensuring all details are perfect and timelines are met
- Create and implement marketing strategies to promote the resorts event services
- Monitor event budgets and maintain financial records
- Conduct postevent evaluations and prepare reports for management
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate innovative ideas into event planning
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and safety standards
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Event Management Hospitality Management or related field
- Minimum 35 years of experience in event planning preferably in the hospitality or resort industry
- Proven track record of successfully planning and executing diverse events
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with clients vendors and team members
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with event management software
- Creative problemsolving skills and ability to think on your feet
- Detailoriented with a keen eye for aesthetics and design
- Strong budgeting and financial management skills
- Knowledge of hospitality and tourism industry trends
- Familiarity with local culture and customs in Qatar
- Flexibility to work evenings weekends and holidays as required
- Professional certifications such as Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) or Certified Special Events Professional (CSEP) are preferred
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is a plus
