Your Opportunity
Mission Australia Housing provides social and affordable housing to vulnerable Australians ensuring they have access to good quality housing that enables people to participate in their communities
As the Operations Manager you will lead a multidisciplinary team across Housing Services Asset Services and Community Engagement at Common Ground Sydney. You will be responsible for operational excellence service innovation stakeholder engagement and ensuring a safe inclusive and wellmanaged environment for tenants and staff.
You will shape local strategies that align with national goals foster crossfunctional collaboration and champion integrated service delivery that delivers meaningful outcomes for some of our most vulnerable community members.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Provide inspirational leadership to staff promoting a proactive and supportive culture.
- Manage the full housing operations portfolio including building and facilities management.
- Deliver on Local Area Plans and strategic KPIs through sound planning and collaboration.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders including government support partners and the wider community.
- Use data research and evaluation to continuously improve service delivery and impact.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies regulations and contractual obligations.
- Lead and embed integrated service delivery frameworks across the organisation.
Requirements for Success
- 3 to 5 years demonstrated experience in the social housing space desirable
- Proven leadership experience in operations or housing service delivery
- A strong understanding of community housing homelessness or social service sectors
- Strategic planning performance management and financial reporting skills
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to influence and inspire crossfunctional teams
- Experience managing building operations and facilities compliance
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skill
- Commitment to social justice reconciliation diversity and inclusion
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Drivers licence with no restrictions
