Position OverviewWe are seeking a results-driven EHS Manager to join our Leadership Team at our Alcoa TN facility. Reporting to the Tennessee Operations Plant Manager the EHS Manager will oversee and lead all aspects of Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) and Plant Protection systems. This role is essential in fostering a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with all federal state and company regulations.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead and integrate EHS initiatives aligned with corporate strategy and site objectives.
Set and track EHS performance goals; report results internally and externally.
Direct fatality risk prevention programs and promote Human and Organizational Performance (HOP).
Oversee plant safety industrial hygiene medical security and fire protection activities.
Ensure compliance with US EPA and Tennessee state regulations (air water waste stormwater).
Develop and maintain operational controls and procedures for risk mitigation.
Lead site-based EHS teams including Fatality Prevention Joint EHS Lead H&S Lead and HOP Steering Teams.
Manage and enhance the EHS management system to ensure accurate reporting and regulatory alignment.
Ensure timely incident reporting investigation and corrective actions via internal systems.
Coach and influence plant leadership to drive a safety-first culture.
Bachelors degree in Engineering Environmental Science Occupational Health & Safety or related field.
Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in EHS regulatory compliance and industrial hygiene.
Proven experience implementing HOP principles at a facility or organizational level.
Strong understanding of environmental compliance (EPA state and local regulations).
Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Advanced degree or certifications: CSP CIH PE or CEM.
Experience in Tennessee regulatory environments (air water waste etc.).
Background in metals manufacturing is required.
Previous operations experience is required.
Stable employment history No job hoppers.
Prior experience working for direct industry competitors is highly desirable.
