Position Description:

As a Neurosurgeon with Froedtert South (Pleasant Prairie) & the Medical College of Wisconsin you will be:

• Part of a highly collaborative team that serves as a leader in neurological and cancer care in Wisconsin and the Midwest.

• Collaborating for outpatient and inpatient support with advanced practice providers as well as resident and fellow trainees

The Department of Neurosurgery is a nationally prominent program and one of the largest such departments in the United States. It has nearly doubled in size over the last seven years from 22 faculty in 2016 to 40 in 2023. In addition there are 22 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) 14 residents and 186 staff that support the clinical research and educational missions. The mission of the Department of Neurosurgery remains providing subspecialty adult and pediatric neurosurgical care that is patient-centered evidenced-informed and value-based; conducting research that advances the science of neurologic disease and has a positive translational impact on clinical care; and promoting an environment of education and scholarship for trainees faculty and staff.

Medical College of Wisconsin

The Medical College of Wisconsin is the states only private medical school and health sciences graduate school. MCW consists of a School of Medicine with campuses in Milwaukee Green Bay and central Wisconsin a School of Graduate Studies and a Pharmacy School. Froedtert South is a comprehensive regional healthcare system serving southeastern Wisconsin and northern Illinois communities for overthe former United Hospital System expanded its affiliation with Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin rebranding as Froedtert South . This partnership integrates Froedtert South into the Froedtert & MCW health network enhancing access to specialized and academic-level care while maintaining local leadership and services.

Froedtert South operates multiple facilities including hospitals and clinics in Kenosha Pleasant Prairie and Paddock Lake . Through its collaboration with MCW Froedtert South contributes to medical education research and the provision of advanced healthcare services in the region.
