Job Description

The School of Engineering and Digital Sciences of Nazarbayev University invites applications for two open-rank faculty positions Assistant Associate or Full Professor for outstanding candidates to join the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE). The demand from industry for our graduates has resulted in a substantial increase in the number of students enrolled in MAE programs. The department is currently expanding its strong collaboration with industry internationally. 

Candidates must hold a PhD degree in aerospace engineering from a reputable university. Candidates must during their prior career have demonstrated excellence in research learning and teaching as well as external engagement. A sustained and successful track record of attaining research or commercial funding and publication in internationally recognised Q1 quality journals including those in the top 10% percentile is essential. An ideal candidate will demonstrate a willingness to collaborate within a team to deliver teaching and research related to the broad area of aerospace engineering and propulsion systems. The candidates research interests should complement and augment the departments existing strengths in aerospace propulsion flight mechanics and aeroelasticity. Excellent communication skills and English fluency are required.
