Description

Do you have a passion for providing support to children and their parents from a diverse range of backgrounds

We are seeking to hire someone with proven effectiveness in working with parents and families from a range of cultural backgrounds and a demonstrated commitment to racial equity diversity and inclusion to fill the role of KidsClinic Intake Coordinator. This person will coordinate and implement the enrollment process and service plan maintenance as part of our KidsClinic Pediatric Therapy program.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

  • Conduct culturally sensitive intakes and referrals to the program. Maintain client waitlist for all services in program.

  • Facilitate enrollment of clients into KidsClinic including discussion of insurance benefits financial agreement with clients coordination with insurance administrator create client files prepare required enrollment paperwork coordinate with front desk staff & notify DSP of new client.

  • Verify insurance benefits for therapy.

  • Obtain preauthorization/certification and/or clinical submission from insurance company as needed.

  • Process client paperwork and check for accuracy and completion.

  • Schedule and coordinate initial appointments for KidsClinic clients.

  • Serve as communication point person for families re: administrative matters (eg. Scheduling requests insurance and billing questions).

  • Monitor staff caseload and ensure capacity.

  • Proficiently navigate diverse cultural norms in the facilitation and communication between staff insurance companies & billing department.

  • Participate in planning meetings for the purpose of program planning quality & efficiency as needed.

  • Contribute to marketing efforts as needed.

  • Assist KidsClinic Program Manager in training and orienting new staff inthe processes & procedures of KidsClinic program as needed.

  • Informing care planning coordination anticipatory guidance for complex health needs assistance to access services consultation resource development interagency coordination training program planning quality management and administration to support Medicaid programs.

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience

  • Significant experience navigating systems of oppression or a sophisticated understanding of systemic oppression in the areas of dis/ability neurodiversity race socioeconomic/class gender identity and expression among others

  • Demonstrated success in partnering with people from historically marginalized backgrounds or in learning through a strong existing practice of cultural humility

  • A.A. degree or equivalent experience related to customer services; BA/BS preferred

  • Bilingual spoken and written fluency is an asset

  • Experience in administration customer care and billing services or a willingness to learn

  • Practical experience in working with a diverse population

Minimum Prerequisites

  • Pass Washington State DSHS criminal history and background check and FBI fingerprint check.

  • Demonstrate organizational skills ability to follow through on assignments on time and with accuracy provide clear written and verbal communication keep uptodate written and electronic documentation

  • Strictly maintain confidentiality of all client information

  • Access to reliable transportation

  • Demonstrate proficiency in using MS Office Suite

  • Pass tuberculosis test

  • Ability to show proof of current immunizations including COVID19 and MMR vaccine or titer test*

  • The work is typically performed in an office environment with a moderate noise level. Occasional travel to other areas of the facility may be required where the noise level is moderate to loud and environmental conditions may include slippery surfaces crowded areas or working near moving parts (e.g. exercise equipment).Local travel may be required.
