Job Description

ASSISTANT MARKETING MANAGER

Sales and Profits are at a record level. We need to hire!

A fulltime position is available in our Burlingame California Corporate Headquarters for an Assistant Marketing Manager.

GarrattCallahan () is a National Industrial Water Treatment Chemical Company operating since 1904. Our headquarters is in Burlingame California near the San Francisco Airport. We have 5 chemical manufacturing plants in the continental United States. And we have a sales force in the 48 contiguous states Alaska and the Caribbean.

2024 was a record sales year 2025 is trending to be even better so we are expanding nationwide.

Some of the Duties and Responsibilities of the newly created Assistant Marketing Manager:

  • Reporting to and at the direction of the Marketing Manager implement manage and optimize digital marketing campaigns across multiple platforms (Google Ads Bing Ads Facebook LinkedIn) both internal (internal announcements) and external (including recruiting efforts).
  • Under the guidance of the Marketing Manager coordinate and update the company website (WordPress) and social media channels.
  • Track analyze and report on the ROI of digital marketing efforts including lead generation and customer engagement.
  • Manage and update marketing collateral (both print and digital) in collaboration with the Marketing Administrator.
  • Research and recommend digital advertising opportunities aligned with target demographics.
  • Oversee project timelines and deliverables for marketing initiatives as directed by the Marketing Manager.
  • Collaborate closely with sales teams to align marketing activities with lead generation strategies.
  • Work with Corporate Administration HR Recruiting and Warehouse/Factory teams to ensure event logistics and promotional materials are delivered effectively.
  • Maintain CRM and internal ROI tracking databases (AS400 Excel) and build custom reports as needed.
  • Utilize tools such as MailChimp and Survey Monkey for campaign outreach and feedback collection.
  • Coordinate promotional items and support trade show participation as needed.
  • Ensure marketing content maintains brand standards and effectively communicates with diverse audiences.

Salary: $85000 to $110000 depending upon qualifications. Benefits available include medical dental vision life insurance and 401k.

A successful candidate will have:

  • A Bachelors degree in marketing or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in B2B digital marketing marketing coordination or 7 years of experience in related fields.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook) at an intermediate to expert level.
  • Working knowledge of CRM systems (Hubspot SalesForce other) and/or database management.
  • Handson experience managing digital ad platforms (Google Ads Bing Ads) and social media marketing tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to track and report ROI.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized detailoriented and capable of managing multiple priorities.
  • Selfstarter attitude with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong understanding of marketing KPIs and web traffic metrics.
  • Familiarity with MailChimp Survey Monkey and WordPress CMS.
  • Knowledge of and experience with using and detecting AI platforms and prompts for image and content generation is extremely helpful.
