Possess the cultural competency necessary for working with a diverse population in an equitable and inclusive communityDemonstrate the flexibility to use technology in support of student learning and other professional responsibilitiesCommunicate well both in writing and verbally with colleagues students and familiesModel a culture of flexible continuous learning to challenge and support studentsCore Job ResponsibilitiesThis role is a fulltime teaching position with the following major responsibilities:Teach two sections of Upper School Spanish Assist with class coverages across various disciplines in Upper SchoolServe as a coadvisor/advisor for a group of approximately 12 Upper School studentsBe a leader in the schools cocurricular program in meaningful ways outside the classroom by coaching leading extracurricular activities etc. Teaching Fellows are expected to coach at least two (and preferably three) Middle or Upper School athletic responsibilities including attending regular faculty meetings professional learning communities inservice days and other supervision duties as ideal candidate will have a familiarity with ACTFL proficiency standards and a willingness to teach in a program informed by comprehensible input and proficiencybased language instruction.
