Position Responsibilities:

As the linchpin of Production Operations your mission is to champion the delivery of our commitments not just meeting but exceeding the expectations of our customers.

As the OPM youll program plans and schedules ensuring that every project demonstrates our commitment to quality and efficiency. Your expertise in Earned Value Management will see you managing labor baselines turning risks into opportunities and milestones into achievements. Youll navigate priorities on the shop floor ensuring that every program reaches its peak. Your contributions to proposal preparations will pave the way for new business ventures and expansions showcasing our capabilities and securing our position as industry leaders.

Reporting directly to the Site Operations Lead/Sr Manager of Operations your impact will resonate throughout the organization and beyond. Essential Functions:

  • Has authority and accountability for technical scope schedule and cost pertaining to required operations activities on an assigned program
  • Primary point of contact for the technical cost risk/opportunity and schedule performance of the actions on the assigned programs
  • Develop and implement strategies to meet cost delivery customer satisfaction and continuous improvement commitments.
  • Serve as the Earned Value Work Package Manager for assigned programs
  • Engages with other IPT Leads Functional Managers and leadership to promote successful action planning and execution
  • Frequent collaboration with multiple functions (e.g. Design Engineering Contracts manufacturing etc.) and the program office
  • Support overall Program by contributing schedule inputs and changes into the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) maintaining timely and effective change management processes and procedures
  • Monitor RAIL (Rolling Action Item List) performance and ensuring that issues are addressed immediately and corrective actions and recovery plans are implemented expeditiously
  • Support multidisciplinary program reviews and presentations throughout the different phases of development certification and production readiness with internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated understanding and practice of Earned Value Management
  • Proposal/BOE preparation or both new business and changes in scope to existing programs
  • Coordinate with the Production / Material planning teams to ensure that program schedules rea understood and maintained
  • Facilitate Operations Manufacturing and Quality participation in design development to identify and address manufacturability testability and inspectability issues
  • Implement and sustain success metrics incorporating best practices and effectively communicating improvements
  • Effectively manage behavior performance and key deliverables across a matrix organization
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
  • Significant working experience with execution of earned value management (EVM); Experience in creating and managing budgets for both operational and capital expenses;
  • Experienced with all phases of manufacturing and program management (development planning conceptual design requirements definition preliminary design prototyping test and evaluation integration entry to production etc.)
  • Extensive experience in manufacturing; preferably experience in Shop Operations. Operations Planning Quality Assurance Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering Continuous Improvement also desirable.
  • Strong operations and engineering analytical and technical writing skills with the ability to effectively communicate present data and explain results to leadership subordinates & peers
  • Strategic thinking and problemsolving skills with a proven ability to multitask and prioritize assignments
  • Demonstrated experience in project management including establishment of detailed resourceloaded logicdriven (successor/predeccesor) schedules
  • Demonstrated knowledge in the assembly and test of electronic components or systems
  • Demonstrated experience preparing and presenting business status presentations and business cases to executive leaders and external customer
  • Advanced knowledge and use of MS Office products including Project Excel Word and PowerPoint
  • Skilled in the deployment and use of Continuous Improvement Tools such as Lean and 6 Sigma .
  • Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills for collaborating with all levels of the organization including managing through influence
  • U.S. Citizenship required.

Desirable Experience/Education Qualifications/Comments:

  • MS Engineering Management / Industrial Engineering or MBA
