Job Description

Overview
The MBBS RMO (Resident Medical Officer) position for Ward and OPD is a critical role within our healthcare organization dedicated to providing quality medical care and support to patients in both inpatient and outpatient departments. The RMO will be responsible for assessing patient health coordinating treatment plans and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal outcomes. This role is vital to the functioning of the hospital as it bridges the gap between various medical departments and plays an essential part in maintaining patient safety and satisfaction. The RMO will work closely with senior physicians nursing staff and administrative personnel to promote an environment of excellence in clinical practice. The ability to respond to emergencies provide immediate care and document treatment accurately is paramount. This position requires a compassionate dedicated professional who can manage highpressure situations while maintaining a focus on patientcentered care.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations.
  • Initiate and oversee treatment plans in the ward and OPD.
  • Monitor patients progress and adapt care plans as needed.
  • Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide necessary interventions.
  • Collaborate with specialists and nursing teams for comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for all patient interactions.
  • Educate patients and their families about health conditions and treatment options.
  • Assist in the management of chronic diseases within the outpatient department.
  • Provide consultations and referrals to specialized care when necessary.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to care improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to hospital policies and protocols in patient management.
  • Maintain professionalism and compassion in all patient interactions.
  • Stay updated with the latest medical guidelines and practices.
  • Oversee the functioning of medical instruments and equipment.
  • Engage in continuing medical education to enhance clinical skills.
Required Qualifications
  • MBBS degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Valid medical license to practice medicine.
  • Internship completion in recognized healthcare facility.
  • Experience in ward and outpatient management.
  • Strong knowledge of medical procedures and protocols.
  • Ability to handle diverse medical cases and emergencies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
  • Strong analytical and decisionmaking skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated compassion and commitment to patient care.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays.
  • Basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) certification preferred.
  • Willingness to engage in continual learning and professional development.
  • Experience in patient education and family involvement.
  • Understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
