Overview
The Night Duty BAMS/BHMS RMO (Resident Medical Officer) plays a crucial role in providing healthcare services during night shifts in the Virar West location. This position is essential for ensuring that patients receive timely and effective medical care especially during emergencies and overnight care. The RMO will utilize their skills in both Ayurveda and Homeopathy to treat patients conduct assessments and manage various health conditions. Operating in a fastpaced environment the nightduty RMO serves as the first point of contact for patients responding to their healthcare needs and coordinating with other healthcare professionals. This role involves a mixture of patient care documentation and administrative tasks making it vital for maintaining the quality of care within the healthcare facility. Together with other medical staff the RMO will have a profound impact on patient outcomes and satisfaction ensuring the overall wellbeing of the patient community during the night hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide immediate medical attention to patients in need.
- Assess patient health status and conduct thorough examinations.
- Administer Ayurvedic and Homeopathic treatments as needed.
- Document patient interactions and treatment plans accurately.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals.
- Manage emergency situations with composure and efficiency.
- Monitor patient progress and report changes in conditions.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions.
- Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the medical facility.
- Schedule followup appointments and referrals as needed.
- Assist in inventory management of medical supplies.
- Provide compassionate support to patients and families during crises.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Ayurvedic Medicine (BAMS) or Homeopathic Medicine (BHMS).
- Registered medical practitioner with a valid medical license.
- Experience working in a clinical or hospital setting.
- Strong understanding of Ayurveda and Homeopathy principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fastpaced environment.
- Proficient in medical documentation and computer software.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification preferred.
- Knowledge of emergency response protocols.
- Strong problemsolving and criticalthinking skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
